Day Three - Exploring The Lakes at Windermere

The Lake District is just under an hour from the Wilson House Holiday Park and there is an amazing amount on offer to do. If you are a walker, then there is a lot to choose from and you can get great advice from the Lake District National Park website which gives you loads of options for routes and advice.

If you enjoy museums, then Hilltop, the house that Beatrix Potter lived in, is definitely worth a visit and you can enjoy the unchanged surroundings where Potter created and wrote her famous stories about Peter Rabbit and friends. You can find out more about Beatrix Potter's house here. If you'd prefer something more active then the Brockholes Adventure Park is a great place to challenge yourself with the tree top walk and enjoy the stunning views across Lake Windermere from the cafe.
